Beach soccer, beach volleyball or handball and badminton: In the Beach Arena it’s all about action-packed sand sports. Those who prefer more leisurely can use one of the four pétanque lanes next to it.
Since June 2015 in Spiez Bay there is a multifunctional beach arena with the finest quartz sand. Three beach volleyball fields or a big beach soccer field are available. During the summer months the Beach Arena is the venue for various tournaments. Inform yourself about the next event and be there live when for example the new beach soccer Swiss champion is elected in the Beach Arena.
The Beach Arena can be used for free of charge. By reservations there is a fee of CHF 20 per hour and field. Those who would spontaneously like to have a round of beach volleyball can rent a ball and other material from the info-point behind the Bistro Pura Vida.
Next to the Beach Arena four pétanque lanes are available. Pétanque is a French way of playing boccia, where it is about throwing the ball as close as possible to the target ball. Enjoy an exciting round of pétanque in a comfortable shaded area. A pétanque set can be rented for CHF 5 from the Info-Centre in Spiez.
